For the lack of a good title!!

X is a play in three acts by Tom Taylor. The play is a farcical comedy whose plot is based on the introduction of an awkward, boorish American to his aristocratic English relatives. It premiered at Laura Keene's Theatre in New York City on October 15, 1858. The play concerns the adventures of an American, Asa Trenchard, first played by Joseph Jefferson, who goes to England to claim the family estate.

The play's most famous performance came seven years later, at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. on April 14, 1865. Halfway through Act III, Scene 2, the character Asa Trenchard (the title role), played that night by Harry Hawk, utters a line considered one of the play's funniest:

"Don't know the manners of good society, eh? Well, I guess I know enough to turn you inside out, old gal—you sockdologizing old man-trap..."

During the laughter that followed this line, something very iconic happened.

Give me X and the "thing" that happened!!

I Want to move it!!

The origin of this term is uncertain. It is believed that it is a reduplication of the name given to a rent party in early 20th century USA. These parties were impromptu affairs which were organized to raise money to pay rent and at which a small entrance fee was charged.

This term was first recorded in print as the title of Clarence 'Pinetop' Smith's 1928 recording, which includes these lyrics:

I want everybody to dance just like I say
And when I say 'hold it there'
I want all of you ... to stop
And when I say stop - don't move
And when I say git it
I want all of you to do a _______ _________.

The logo with the famous “winged arrow” was first used in 1926.Although the logo of this company is viewed as one of the most original and stylistically clean manufacturing company trademarks in the world, the author is not yet known. The black and green logo, which has been used since 1994, gives it a greater degree of originality – black symbolises the hundred-year tradition, green signalises environmental production.

Usual interpretation of the logo’s symbolism

* Large circle (circular ring) – universality of production, perfection of products, the globe, the world
* Pinion (wing) – technical progress, span of production programme and sales of products in the world
* Arrow – progressive production methods, high productivity
* Circle (eye) – precision of production, technical brightness, range of vision
* Black colour – hundred-year tradition
* Green colour – environmental production, protection of the environment, recycling of materials used.

U Got a Mail!!

These are some of the excerpts from a letter..
-- Surround yourself with loyal friends. They'll protect and calm you and join in on some of the fun, and appreciate the history.
-- If you're traveling with your parents over Halloween, don't let it stop you from doing what you would normally do. Dress up in some imaginative, elaborate costume (if you are like us a pack of Juicy Fruit and a Vampiress) and trick-or-treat down the plane aisle.
-- And, a note on puppies--our sweet puppy Spot was nursed on the lawn . And then of course, there's Barney, who most recently bit a reporter. Cherish your animals because sometimes you'll need the quiet comfort that only animals can provide.-- Slide down the banister of the solarium, go to T-ball games, have swimming parties, and play Sardines on the lawn. Have fun and enjoy your childhood in such a magical place to live and play.
-- When your dad throws out the first pitch for the Yankees, go to the game.
-- In fact, go to anything and everything you possibly can: State Dinners, Christmas parties museum openings, arrival ceremonies, and walks around the monuments. Just go. Four years goes by so fast, so absorb it all, enjoy it all!

The X factor

X was born in Rutland, Vermont USA on February 7, 1804, the son of William Rinold, a tailor, and Sarah Yates (1780-1826). William disappeared on the way to England in 1808 when X was only four years old. He served four years as apprentice to Captain Benjamin Lawrence, a prosperous Middlebury blacksmith, and entered the trade for himself in 1825.X's business was not doing very well, and he was having trouble with creditors. Facing bankruptcy, X sold the shop to his father-in-law and departed for Illinois. There X found out that cast-iron plows were not working very well in the tough prairie soil of Illinois. He came to the conclusion that a plow made out of highly polished steel and a correctly shaped moldboard (the self-scouring steel plow) would be better able to handle the soil conditions of the prairie, especially its sticky clay. X said that he wrote Y as a way to sort out his own beliefs about God and Christ. In doing so he inspired many readers by combining romanticism and spiritual piety common in sentimental novels of the 19th century with the action and adventure found in the more vulgar stories of the day. It prompted many clergy to reverse their church's long-held opposition to novels and actually encourage their congregations to read Y, as a result helping it to become one of the best selling novels of its time. It not only helped wipe away any lingering American resistance to the novel, it was instrumental in introducing many Christian audiences to theater and film.

The author of this book writes that in a Sumo tournament, all wrestlers compete in 15 matches and stay in the top league if they win at least 8 of them. The Sumo community is very close-knit, and all of the wrestlers at the top levels tend to know each other well. The authors looked at the final match, and considered the case of a wrestler with seven wins, seven losses, and one fight to go, fighting against an 8-6 wrestler. Statistically, the 7-7 wrestler should have a slightly below even chance, since the 8-6 wrestler is slightly better. However, the 7-7 wrestler actually wins around 80% of the time. Author uses this statistic and other data gleaned from Sumo wrestling matches, along with the effect that allegations of corruption have on match results, to conclude that those who already have 8 wins collude with those who are 7-7 and let them win, since they have already secured their place in the league. X is a procedural defense (and, in many countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico and India, a constitutional right) that forbids a defendant from being tried twice for the same crime on the same set of facts. If the defendant succesfully proves that he has been acquitted or convicted of the same offense then the projected trial has to be prevented from proceeding.X has been used as a plot many a times in movies as well as in fiction , notably crime thrillers.A hollywood movie of the same name was released in 1999 starring Ashley Judd.Identify X?

X is a discipline and school of thought discussing the mystical aspect of Judaism. It is a set of esoteric teachings that are meant to explain the relationship between an infinite, eternal and essentially unknowable Creator with the finite and mortal universe of His creation. In solving this paradox, X seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being, the nature and purpose of existence, and various other ontological questions. It also presents methods to aid understanding of these concepts and to thereby attain spiritual realization.
